The 2012 National BikeSafe show is gearing up to take place once again at The Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon over the weekend of 28 and 29 April 2012.

National BikeSafe 2012 is a great day out for riders of all ages and experience, new riders, enthusiasts and families alike featuring everything from the opportunity to have riding assessed by riding out with police motorcyclists to demo bikes and trade stands. Best of all, the event is free to enter.

Deputy Chief Constable David Griffen, ACPO Roads Policing Motorcycle Safety Lead said: "National BikeSafe aims to reduce motorcycle casualties across the UK by improving rider behaviour through further training and are open to riders of all ages regardless of how long they have been riding.

"The national event aims to promote the BikeSafe scheme to a wider audience by attracting riders from across the country over the two days at the end of April and gives them the chance to experience the scheme first hand with a view to returning home and booking on to an event hosted by their local Police force.

"The National BikeSafe Show is a true family event which offers a little something for enthusiasts of all ages and won't even hurt the wallet as it's free to enter."

The Get On team who will be on hand all weekend offering the chance for anyone who has never ridden a motorcycle to experience it for the first time. The scheme aims to increase the number of new riders across the country by offering the chance try a motorcycle in a controlled environment and the team work closely with BikeSafe.

Nick Stephenson, Get On Experience Co-ordinator said: "Get On will be offering free rides on a range of small capacity motorcycles and scooters throughout the show. Our team of instructors from our local training partner - BikeMoore - will be on hand to guide new riders through the first steps. Anyone over 16 years of age will be offered the chance to Get On and we can guarantee a great experience."

This year's event is gearing up to take place on the weekend of 28 and 29 April 2012. Running from 10am - 4pm at The Heritage Motor Centre, Junction 12, M40. Entry into the event is free. Museum admission prices apply.
