Official Öhlins UK Centre and racing specialist JHS Racing will be helping give Thundersport GB racers the edge this season thanks to a new partnership between the high-profile British race series and the legendary Swedish suspension brand.

The suspension specialists at JHS Racing, who have all undergone rigorous Öhlins training, will be on hand for technical advice and an unrivalled suspension service at every round of the series from Snetterton this weekend (June 23/24).

The exclusive tie-up sees Öhlins become a Senior Technical Partner of the series with a two way reciprocal marketing and technical agreement.

With around 300 competitors over nine different race classes ranging from Aprilia Superteens and Streetfighters to Thundersport GP1 and Golden Era Superbikes, Thundersport GB is one of the most diverse, competitive and exciting British race series in the UK. In such a hotbed of racing there are certain to be those wanting to get the very best from their suspension and thanks to the professionals at JHS Racing; they now have that opportunity.

Chris Witter, Business Development Manager, Öhlins Racing UK commented, "Despite dominating on race tracks at a world championship level, Öhlins is a company that never forgets its roots and we are delighted to be involved in the British, National and Club racing scene. There are so many world class British Öhlins riders of the highest calibre such as Cal Crutchlow, Jonathan Rea, Leon Haslam and Eugene Laverty who have all passed through the domestic and club racing ranks and this really is the breeding ground for the future.

"In racing it is so important to be able to understand and utilise your suspension to gain the maximum performance from your bike and we hope that through this partnership with Thundersport GB, together with the Öhlins technicians at JHS Racing we can assist the stars of the future as well as those who just love racing motorcycles."

Richard (Syd) Day, Director of Thundersport GB added, "Öhlins is a globally respected brand and we're delighted to have the company onboard as Senior Technical Partners. We are of the firm belief that our wide range of riders will now have a great opportunity to make a massive difference to their dreams of success, through quality suspension products and correct set-up.

"For many years, riders and teams have believed that it's all about horsepower. Luckily attitudes have changed and people have realised that corner speed is the real answer! But this also comes with additional benefits than just faster lap times, as good suspension keeps the rubber firmly in contact with the tarmac, tyre wear is significantly reduced, as is potential damage and injury. Not forgetting all the associated cost savings that obviously then go hand in hand."
