JULY 2012 NEW REGISTRATIONS SUMMARY

The Motorcycle Industry Association new registration statistics for the reporting period July 1 to July 30 2012 are now available and show a modest increase in total registrations of just 0.6 per cent year-to-date. Total mopeds are down 6.6 per cent, whilst total motorcycles are up 1.8 per cent.

Honda remains at the top of the manufacturer league table with 1,372 registrations for the period. Its CBF125M was the highest selling motorcycle, topping the 'naked' and 51-125cc sectors. Over in the moped charts, the Direct Bikes DB 50QT-11 returned registration figures of 103.

The Motorcycle Trader blue sheet, carrying the full statistics will be distributed tomorrow. In summary, the total registrations are;
