Setting itself apart from importers that exhibit their new products in the traditional way - that is, at trade shows - Feridax has for the past few years introduced its new-season product ranges to its customers via exclusive dealer previews held at its Halesowen headquarters. The distributor is doing the same this year; it will host a round of special screenings from Monday 22nd October 2012.

Feridax marketing manager Mark Ingleby told Trader: "After a fantastic attendance at the 2011 event, with dealers coming from the whole of the UK, our expectations are once again high for dealers to take advantage of a trip to the West Midlands, to inspect and order products from across the Feridax portfolio."

New-for-2013 clothing and accessories include a sportier range of Spada gear; new helmets and updated graphics from Shoei, Caberg and Sidi - on and off-road ranges - and a completely new line-up from Shot (off-road brand).

Feridax has not neglected hard parts and maintenance ranges, adding no fewer than 200 new lines in an effort to improve in-store sales for its dealers. One of the highlight lifestyle-focussed products is a motorcycle iPhone holder, which is fully waterproof and allows an iPhone to be used even while sheathed in the protective cover. Products like this, claims Feridax, indicate how quickly the firm is reacting to modern trends; with a claimed two-million plus iPhone 5s already pre-ordered, the motivation is obvious. Another new launch, falling under the scope of 'motorcycle essentials', is a new range of Yuasa YB batteries, complete with acid packs.

Turning to the scooter scene, Feridax is introducing new heated grips, as well as new 'Grip Puppies' grip covers, which are designed to improve comfort by reducing vibration, as well as adding girth to narrower grips to improve control.

The early bird catches the worm; Feridax promises that special offers will be available at the preview, many limited to early arrivals. You're unlikely to go home empty-handed, as there will be plenty of freebies, goodies and point-of-sale materials to help freshen up the showroom. Finally, Feridax is offering reduced-priced tickets (£5 each) for the NEC's Motorcycle Live to Preview participants.
