Shoei was quick off the mark to celebrate Shane 'Shakey' Byrne's British Superbike Championship at the final round at Brands Hatch on October the 14th.

Byrne secured the championship and took the win in the final race of the season, celebrating with the crowds and other riders on his slow-down victory lap of the Kent circuit. As he stopped, Shoei's BSB race support technician Paul Mousell was on-track to present the new champion with a special gold painted Shoei X-Spirit II, which Byrne wore for the remainder of his victory lap.

"I'm obviously over the moon to take the championship, not just for myself, but for the whole Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team. But to get such an instant trophy from Shoei was the icing on the cake," said a delighted Byrne.

Shoei riders have won the last seven British Superbike Championships and will continue to support the series in 2013.
