JAPANESE PRODUCTION DOWN IN 2012

The Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association has released 2012 production figures for the Japanese motorcycle manufacturers.


Total production for the full year was down 6.9% at 595,327 units, with Honda and Yamaha maintaining 2011 production levels, but Suzuki and Kawasaki reducing capacity.

Domestic sales dropped by 0.9% and exports were down 5.1% on 2011.
