February 20 2013.

Lucas Harris joins Mortons Media

Lucas Harris has joined the International Dirt Bike Show organising team at Mortons Media as Exhibition Sales Executive. Twenty-three year old Lucas has a Business degree, but perhaps more importantly for the new job; he has a life-long involvement in motorcycling and has competed in motocross, enduro and trials since he was 12-years-old.

He competed in the BSMA Nationals as a schoolboy and as an adult has raced in the DEP Two-Stoke Championship and the National BSMA GT Cup, finishing seventh overall in the Adult Open class, before going on to compete in the Eastern Centre Motocross Championship, where he gained ACU Expert Status on a KTM 250 SX. His KTM connection has continued into his working life and he has spent two happy years working for KTM specialist dealer Jim Aim Motorcycles.

Lucas was born and bred into the world of motorcycle racing, as his father is Lester Harris of Harris Performance, the internationally renowned engineering company that has run factory teams for the likes of Suzuki and Honda, as well as building some of the most famous racing and road bike frames in the history of motorcycling.

"I can't wait to get started in the new job," says Lucas, "It's a dream come true to be working on the International Dirt Bike Show and helping to present and promote all things off-road to a growing international audience."

Lucas will work alongside Exhibition Manager Nick Mowbray and his team which already has a growing portfolio of successful shows and events, running the two largest classic shows, at Stafford in April and October which attract tens of thousands of visitors.
