KYMCO’S MOST POPULAR SPORT SCOOTERS TAKE ON A SUPER NEW LOOK FOR 2013
April 8 2013.

Kymco's bestselling Super 8 50cc and 125cc scooters have had a makeover, and from April 2013 they will feature a new stylised front end and come in a choice of four new bold colour combinations.

The Super 8's have been top-sellers for Kymco in the UK since 2007, and until now their design has remained largely unchanged. "The fact that their 'look' hasn't changed in five years is testament to the original design, but to sustain their appeal, and attract the next generation of young riders and new commuters, the styling has been brought up to date," said Ian Kidson, managing director of Masco, the sole UK distributor for Kymco the winner of BDN's Scooter Franchise of the Year award.

"The angular front-end has been replaced with a modern, softer, rounded design to accentuate the twin halogen headlights, while the new graphics and colour combinations of orange/white, blue/white (50cc), white/black/ and red/white (125cc) add to the scooter's street appeal," explained Ian.

Technically, the Super 8's will be virtually identical to the existing models. The Super 8 50 keeps its ripper 2-stroke engine for added acceleration and performance, whilst the Super 8 125 retains Kymco's world renowned fuel efficient 4-stroke air-cooled engine, which can achieve well in excess of 100 miles per gallon, (40kms per litre).

Both scooters also continue to come equipped with a host of sports and technical features as standard. This includes 14" six spoke painted alloy wheels, a tinted screen, lockable storage, rear handrail, electric and kick-start and auto-choke. The digital display also comes with a new built-in IC processor so that the fuel gauge, clock and speedometer are easy to read at a glance.

With RRPs of only £1599 (50cc) and £1899 (125cc), the Super 8's continue to offer great value for money for riders wanting a stylish and powerful, yet economical and environmentally-friendly mode of transport. This, and the fact they come with a 2-year unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty, is one of the many reasons they continue to be one of Kymco best sellers all over the world.

For 2013, both the Super 8 50 and 125 Scooters will benefit from Kymco's 'Anywhere' subsidised insurance scheme. This includes Third Party Only (TPO) and Third Party, Fire and Theft (TPFT) subsidised packages with 12 months breakdown cover included. TPO cover starts from just £99 and TPFT cover starts from £199 - terms and conditions apply.
