May 2 2013.

Mortons Media had a fund raising day last Monday for the Lymphoma Association, a relatively small charity which offers support to patients who are diagnosed with the disease and their families.

The theme was purple, the association's colour, and there was a huge raffle and a prize for the most Purple Person.

The main organisers were Nikita Leak, (Keats to all her friends), who works in advertising sales at Mortons, and Malc Wheeler, associate director at Mortons.

Nikita lost her father to Lymphoma and Malc is almost six years in remission with his, so there were two very real reasons to fund raise for such a great charity.

By close of play on Monday an amazing £900 had been raised, thanks to the generosity of friends at work and from the world of motorcycling. And to top off a brilliant day, Mortons' CEO, Ian Fisher, has matched the amount on Mortons behalf.

A delighted Nikita and Malc said: "We have been blown away by the generosity of our friends in Mortons, local business people and those from the world of motorcycling. And for the generosity of Ian and the company. We way exceeded our aims. Having experienced the support of the Lymphoma Association first hand we are delighted to give something back"
