Discovering the simple pleasures and cost saving benefits of motorcycling couldn't be simpler at Britain's hottest new summer bike show.

All non-bikers aged 16 and over who attend the Newark Bike Bonanza on June 22-23 will be offered a safe and completely free riding experience.

Motorcycles and scooters will be available to have a go on and there's no pressure to part with any cash. Instead, it's an opportunity to find out just how much money you could save by taking to the road on two wheels. Knowledgeable instructors and full safety kit are provided.

Small capacity motorcycles can offer incredible fuel economy - some as much as 160mpg. Road tax costs just £16 a year for a 125cc machine, parking is often free and where others face congestion charges bikes and scooters are exempt. Insurance premiums are lower too - especially for young drivers.

The free riding experience is being offered by the Motorcycle Industry Association through its Get On campaign.

Campaign director Miles Taylor said: "Whether it's sons and daughters, wives or partners, we've seen all sorts have a go and see for themselves just how much fun riding is. Once they have got over their initial concerns more often than not they are convinced it's the way to go. And that's before they even begin to experience the time and cost savings life on two wheels can bring."

The Newark Bike Bonanza takes place at Newark Showground - NG24 2NY.
