May 9 2013.

Race aces Alex Lowes and Ryuichi Kiyonari will add a dash of track glamour to what already promises to be a stunning event next month.

British superbikes stars Lowes and Kiyonari will be guests of honour as the Newark Bike Bonanza debuts at the Newark Showground on June 22-23. The duo will chat to fans and give an insight into what makes them tick and what drives them on in one of the most exciting and competitive sports around. Lowes hails from just down the road from the venue in Lincoln, while the Japanese three-time British champion Kiyonari is always a hit with UK fans.

The track stars are just part of what will be an exciting event to interest both bike enthusiasts and beginners alike, plus those who just want to enjoy a great day out.

The Newark Bike Bonanza is a welcome new addition to the Classic Bike Shows team's 2013 schedule and will showcase classic and modern bikes as well as Ken Fox's 'Wall of Death', champion stuntman 'Mr Showtime' Steve Colley and a very special RAF fly past from the iconic Spitfire and Hurricane.

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance will also be in attendance for the weekend along with the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership and the Nottinghamshire Fire Service, who will be promoting road safety.

Road racing stars John McGuinness and Conor Cummins, synonymous with the Isle of Man TT, will be looking ahead to August's events on The Island... and also bringing their bikes with them.

Nineteen-time TT winner McGuinness will compete this year for Honda TT Legends, the third successive year he has represented the team.

Other confirmed events include a Classic Racer Grand Prix Paddock, a racing sidecar display and an inflatable mini-quad bike track for the younger visitors who may want in on the action.

In addition, the Get On campaign will be on location at the showground for anybody wanting to have a go on a bike for the first time, or re-kindle their passion for riding.

Shows organiser Nick Mowbray said: "We are very excited that such talented names as Alex and Ryuichi will be joining us for our first Carole Nash Newark Bike Bonanza.

"We have a fantastic show lined up for our visitors with a great range of exhibitions and events, trade stands, entertainment, catering and the chance to meet and network with like-minded bike aficionados.

"It is also an amazing opportunity to support local volunteer and charity organisations such as the Air Ambulance and Lincolnshire Blood Bikes."

The show will also feature a competitive element with Trade and Press Trials and the Best In Show award. The winner of the latter will qualify for the Classic Bikers Club Bike of the Year Award to be presented at the next Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show in October.
