To celebrate creating its 150th Engine Case Cover application and approval by the AMA to be used for American racing, R&G has launched a worldwide promotion on its engine-protecting product.

For road or track machines, the R&G ECCs bolt on top of the existing and expensive engine covers to act as a strong and hard-wearing shield, without requiring the draining of any bike fluids or specialist tools to fit.

With offering protection paramount, racing is also in mind as the covers are ultra-lightweight and offer the maximum ground clearance of any similar product on the market.

R&G Engine Case Cover Kits (consisting of two or three covers, depending on the bike) save 10% over buying these parts individually and, from May 20 until June 28 2013, anybody end user purchasing a 'KEC' Kit will receive two free gifts; An R&G Deluxe Helmet Bag and a Cap or a pair of R&G Aero Knee Sliders and a Cap.

Protection benefits aside, financial savings for riders are evident by looking at official parts prices; to replace only the clutch cover on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 would cost £206 including a new gasket, but all three R&G Engine Case Covers for this bike cost only £143. A genuine 2008 Honda CBR600RR R/H engine cover costs £180, but a complete R&G protective kit is only £129.

R&G managing director, Simon Hughes, said: "R&G Engine Case Covers offer riders many advantages; not only are they extremely durable and simple to fit, they also blend in with the bike and can make the difference between a machine being able to be ridden home or not after a spill, or even prevent it from being written-off.

"We have just reached 150 fitments for the Engine Case Cover and have now been approved by the AMA for racing so we thought this was cause to celebrate and give riders a gift!"

The approval by the American Motorcycling Association (AMA) allows the R&G covers to be used in any competition sanctioned by the organisation. R&G covers are also utilised by the California Superbike School (US and UK), Chris Walker Race School as well as a host of race teams around the world at all levels.
