After seven years presence in China, Harley-Davidson continues to expanded its dealership network to ten major Chinese cities.

Most consumers in China buy motorcycles as substitutes for cars, and so Harley-Davidson's primary task in China was to promote its unique motorcycle leisure culture and to redefine and develop motorcycle riding as an enjoyable, exciting and famous recreational activity. It has established and created a comprehensive sales and service network in China's ten cities, (Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Xiamen, Wenzhou, Dalian, Chengdu, Suzhou, Wuhan and Tangshan), to sell the American-made quality Harley-Davidson motorcycles, original Harley-Davidson parts, components, (including motorcycle apparel and various commodities), and maintenance services. Meanwhile, Harley-Davidson also provides all kinds of safe riding training for dealers, aiming to ensure consumers enjoy the unique riding experience.

Harley-Davidson China is also responding actively against China's current restrictions on motorcycles. In 2011, Harley-Davidson supported Tongji University to study and compile China's first whitepaper of the Chinese motorcycle industry: "2011 Chinese Motorcycle Industry Development Whitepaper-the Current Situation & Management of High-End/Leisure/Heavy-Duty Motorcycle", and offered a proposal for the Chinese motorcycle industry regarding its future development in China, and also laid a wider road for its long-term development in China.
