NORMOUS SUCCESS AS NEWARK EVENTS GROW
June 13 2013.

The Normous Newark Autojumble has made a hugely successful second outing as part of its new life under the stewardship of Mortons Media, and organisers are already looking forward to more great events at the venue.

The massive jumble event, which took place at Newark Showground last Sunday, attracted its biggest trade and visitor crowd for several years, with bargain-hunters flocking to Normous Newark from the East Midlands and beyond. One attendee who chatted with staff had even come from as far as Cologne in Germany, just to find the perfect piece for his BSA restoration project.

The organising team behind the event announced that over 1000 trade plots were taken up and, with five further Normous Newark Autojumbles scheduled for the remainder of 2013, expectations are that the event will confirm its status as one of the most popular autojumbles around.

Mortons' show manager Nick Mowbray commented: "We could not be more delighted with the early success we have enjoyed after taking on the running of Normous Newark.

"This is one of the biggest and best autojumbles in the UK and we are so pleased to see it return to its former glory.

"The aim now, of course, is to maintain our early momentum and it is certainly something we look forward to achieving."

Normous Newark will return to the Newark Showground on July 21, August 25, October 6, November 17 and December 15.
