GEA GOLF DAY ‘PUTTS’ BEN FIRST
September 12 2013.

The annual Garage Equipment Association Golf Day organised in support of BEN, the automotive industry charity, this year raised over £3,000. Held at Whittlebury Park Golf & Country Club near Towcester, the day was very well attended by teams representing the UK Aftermarket.

'BEN is greatly appreciative of organisations such as GEA who not only raise money on our behalf but simply by promoting events such as golf days are raising awareness of BEN at the same time', said Kirsten Galvin, BEN's marketing manager. 'We encourage, support and appreciate everyone from our industry who invest their time and effort in assisting our cause.'

Dave Garratt, GEA chief executive was delighted with the amount raised for BEN: 'I would like to express my gratitude to the companies who sponsored various elements of the day enabling us to make more profit for our industry charity. Aftermarket Magazine, Kennet Leasing, MAHA UK Ltd, Straightset Ltd and Weber UK Ltd were invaluable supporters and I would be pleased to receive their support again next year. As an industry we are, of course, indebted to BEN who does so much to aid our colleagues in times of need.'
