JAPANESE PRODUCTION CONTINUES TO FALL

Figures released today by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association show Japanese motorcycle production and exports fell by 15% in August 2013, compared to August 2012.
 

While Honda's Japanese production dropped by 50%, the other three main manufacturers showed an increase, with Suzuki leading the way, up by 18%.

Suzuki also led the exports year on year with a 13% rise, with Honda again over 50% down.

Of course all factories have various scales of overseas production facilites and have suffered varying fortunes over recent years.
