R&G TITLE SPONSORS THE TRIUMPH TRIPLE CHALLENGE
January 31 2014.

R&G, the world leader in motorcycle damage protection products, has become the co-title sponsor of the Triumph Triple Challenge.

Known as the TriStar R&G Triple Challenge for 2014, the hugely successful single-model British race series utilises the Triumph Daytona 675 to create a level playing field and exciting racing. The 2013 season was the most successful in the championship’s history and featured 35 riders battling it out over 18 races on the UK’s best circuits, 12 of these were shown live on British Eurosport.

R&G has joined this successful formula to underline its commitment to motorcycle racing in what is the Alton-based Company’s 15th year of producing innovative, bolt-on products to drastically reduce the damage to a machine in the event of an incident.

Almost immediately after becoming an Official Supplier to the British Superbike Championship along with its Engine Case Covers achieving technical approval, R&G will use the Triple Challenge to further develop its already diverse protection product offering.

R&G managing director, Simon Hughes, said: “The start of R&G’s 15th year in business is already proving to be an exciting one. On becoming co-title sponsor to the Triple Challenge, I’m delighted for R&G to be part of what is not just a professional and popular series, but a championship that provides a real spectacle for the fans.

“Motorcycle sport is at the core of R&G and our involvement with the series will not only to underline our commitment to the sport and promote our brand but will also further develop our product ranges.”

The 2014 TriStar R&G Triple Challenge championship will unravel over 20 races at nine rounds, almost all of them as a support class to the British Superbike championship. Every Triumph Daytona 675 will be protected by R&G’s BSB/AMA-approved Engine Case Covers, as well as ‘shark’s fin' Toe Guards and carbon Tank Sliders as mandatory, with further protection products from the firm suggested and available to riders via T3 Racing.

The series has become hugely popular with racers looking to prove their ability in a high-profile and relatively low-cost way, simultaneously creating a stunning spectacle for spectators and viewers.
