KTM-Sportmotorycle UK Ltd has announced the appointment of Simon Belton to the newly created position of Marketing, Events and Motorsport Manager to manage the implementation and delivery of its marketing strategy in the UK.

UK Managing Director, Shaun Sisterson, explained why Simon’s 33 years of experience in the motorcycle industry was a key attribute when filling this vital position; “We are delighted to welcome Simon to the team and his vast industry experience will help propel the KTM UK Marketing function to the next level and enable to company to continue growing.”

On his appointment, Simon said; “I am really excited and privileged to join a great team of people that work with one of the most focused brands in motorcycling. Although the brand is celebrating its 80th year in 2014, KTM is a company that rarely looks back; pushing to the future by developing relevant products for the market, which is a very exciting ethos to work under.

“I am very humbled that Shaun has entrusted me with the role so that he can focus on the more strategic issues for the company as a whole, its direction and development.”

Simon will work closely with the established marketing team consisting of marketing co-ordinator, Ross Walker, and events manager, Richard Ellis.

Belton continues; “Ross and Richard have a huge amount of experience with the KTM brand and, as a team, we will help achieve our specific objectives with dealers and customers alike.”
