The Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA) believes that take-up for its second Motorcycle Off-Road Experience (MORE) gives a clear indication that there is a huge appetite amongst the British public to try off-roading for the first time.

The weekend sessions were all snapped up within the first half hour of bookings going live, earlier this month, for the 2014 event which will take place at Bevercotes, Nottinghamshire between Friday, 20th of June and Monday, the 23rd. The Friday afternoon and Monday slots filled up shortly after. Twenty-two per cent of bookings were made by women, but many wanted to attend with male partners, so the ‘women only’ session on Friday morning, newly introduced for this year, still has a couple of free slots.

MORE is a collaboration by members of the MCIA’s Off-Road Group, including Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha and is project managed by the MCIA with event organisation provided by the AMCA.

“Whilst the event is pretty much full, places do become available right up to the day before,” said the MCIA’s Stevie Muir, “so it is worthwhile people joining the waiting list.”
