Fresh from their Isle of Man TT debut, the Chinese factory-backed CFMOTO team is returning to the Isle of Man later this month for this year's Manx Grand Prix event.

The quickly developing WK650i race machine will be run by the Springcourt Racing team and will compete in the Supertwin class with Manx specialist Phil McGurk at the controls. Phil won the Supertwin class in 2010 and has been competing in the Manx since 2002.

WK sales manager Henry Maplethorpe explained the late decision to take the 650i to the Manx: “We had such a positive response from both WK dealers and WK650i owners to our TT entry in June that we decided to return to the Island for the Manx and show that we are a real force to be reckoned with in the similar Lightweight and Supertwin classes.

"The CFMOTO race team's WK650i has created a lot of excitement and awareness for the brands and has proved beyond all doubt that the 650i can run with the very best Japanese machines.

"The combination of Springcourt Racing and Phil's experience and knowledge will help with the continuing development programme and with a bit of Manx luck we could be on the podium."
