EUROPEAN SALES UP IN 2015

European motorcycle and moped registrations increased by 5.6% in 2015. France, Italy, Germany, Spain and UK remain the largest European markets.


New motorcycle and moped registrations increased by 5.6% in 2015 compared to the same period last year to reach 1,210,534, according to figures released today by ACEM, the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers.

Most registrations were made in France (242,885 vehicles, -3.4%), followed by Italy (196,571 vehicles, +6.3%), Germany (181,510, +3.2%), Spain (148,488 units, +17.6%) and the UK (114,572, +12.7%).

The most registered vehicles in Europe were BMW’s R1200GS (16,112 units), Yamaha’s MT07 (12,905 units), Peugeot’s KISBEE 5 (12,332 units), Yamaha’s XP500 TMAX (10,067 units) and Honda’s SH150AD (8,879 units).
