Prince William revealed that he owns a sidecar outfit during his recent visit to India.

The Prince is known to be an enthusiastic motorcyclist - he owns a Ducati S 1198 Corse - and he shared the news that he also owns a sidecar outfit when he met the President of Royal Enfield Motorcycles.

"Had a great chat with the royalty of UK, best part: he loves Royal Enfield, he owns one with a side car!" tweeted Rudratej Singh.

Watsonian Squire, Britain's longest-established sidecar maker (founded in 1912) welcomed the news. The company, based in the Cotswolds, is the UK's biggest manufacturer and reported an increase in interest following the Prince's comments.

"We've seen a significant spike on our social media since the news broke" says Watsonian director Ben Matthews.
