Motogear Limited’s popular Nolan-Group X-802RR helmet has officially been proclaimed as 2016 Best Buy Sport Helmet, according to the annual on-road product test, conducted by consumer motorcycle magazine; Ride.

Having been worn by Brits Danny Kent and Chaz Davies – amongst others - in both MotoGP and World Superbikes, the X-802 has enjoyed a high profile on the racing scene, and the media award has underlined its real-world benefits too.

The testing procedure was divided into nine scoring areas, ranging from the quality of the interior, venting, buffeting, noise, alongside the simplicity of visor changing and its general adeptness for both on-road and on-track riding. Each helmet submitted for the test underwent a minimum test of 500 miles on-road, with additional try-outs on more vigorous tracks, in order to gain the most accurate result possible for the overall endurance-quality of the helmet.

The X-802RR scored highly in every category, and received particular recommendation for on-track riding, as it scored a notable 9/10 and for the general quality of feel, it received an 8/10, with special accreditation to the comfortable lightweight of the ultra-carbon helmet.

‘It’s so light and the sumptuous interior makes wearing it a joy, with little buffeting when turning your head, and all for a great price’ - Ride

The X-802RR’s combined score of 73/90 saw it beat ten other top-branded helmets.

The Nolan X-802RR retails from £319.99 to £449.99 and is available in sizes: XS-XXL.
