The first Motorbike Super Sale of the year at BCA Peterborough broke all records, with 241 bikes, scooters and quadbikes sold, resulting in the highest turnover ever in one motorbike sale. The event attracted the biggest entry of motorbikes ever handled by BCA in a single sale and strong bidding throughout the sale resulted in a 97.2% conversion rate that achieved a turnover of £1.39 million.

Interest was strong online with 313 buyers logging in to bid throughout the course of the sale, with a further 150 customers bidding in the auction hall. Trade customers were notably active, with a number of franchise and independent dealers bidding strongly on the superb selection of makes and models, which included Harley-Davidson, BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki, Triumph and Yamaha.

Volume customer Black Horse offered and sold 177 motorbikes, including a Harley-Davidson Triglide which achieved a record value for a motorbike sold at BCA, realising £23,600. A second Triglide sold for £17,500, a Harley-Davidson Fatboy achieved £16,100 and a Ducati Panigale sold for £12,550.

Terence Guymer, Motorbike Sales Manager at BCA Peterborough said: “This first BCA Motorbike Super Sale of 2017 was a huge success with records tumbling for volume and value. The sale attracted a huge crowd of buyers – both online and in the hall – and the bidding was exceptionally confident throughout the sale. The wide selection of makes and models on offer meant there was something to suit every type of biker.”
