Motorcycle Live is working with former Phoenix Distribution (former Arai distributor) management John Wakefield and Wendy Hearn to raise funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Sadly, Wakefield’s 12-year-old son Joe was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) earlier this year which resulted in amputation of his lower left leg. The rugby/football/Xbox playing lad has a long road ahead of him with chemotherapy stretching into 2020, but when his treatment is over Joe aims to be back on the sports field. As part of his recovery and to help him achieve this goal, his wish is to have a blade.

The NHS has limited funding for this type of prosthesis so the costs will need to be financed by his family, ongoing fund-raising activities and donations. Which is where MCL is stepping in ….

An auction will be held on the Blackhorse Stage on Sunday the 17th November with several ‘money-can’t-buy- items up for grabs. Auction lots confirmed so far include Jonathan Rae signed Alpinestars Race Gloves, Freddie Spencer signed Arai historical replica, a pillion ride with Leon Haslam at Donington Park and more.
