The Spring Scooter boom has come early this year for Kymco, with official year-to-date registrations showing a 15% growth for the first quarter of the year (January to April) as compared to the same period in 2007.

Ian Kidson, Managing Director for Masco Ltd (the sole UK importer for Kymco) says: "These early figures illustrate that Kymco is continuing to grow at a faster rate than the market, which as a whole is up by 13%. With year-on-year growth, we continue to maintain our brand position as the number one Taiwanese manufacturer for scooters and motorcycles, and this has all been achieved despite being faced with a highly competitive market over the last 12 months that is being flooded with cheap imports."

"With sales set to further increase over the summer period following the introduction of a new insurance deal for our KR Sport 125, the launch of the Yager 125, Agility City 50 and 125 scooters and new Pulsar 125 motorcycle, it has never been a better time to become a Kymco dealer," Ian added.

As a further incentive for new dealers, Kymco is currently offering a free scooter worth £1000, when six or more machines are ordered from the company's comprehensive motorcycle, scooter and ATV range. Plus, all this is combined with quality, reliable and value for money machines, market leading dealer incentives, and excellent after-sales support.
