FIM release:

The European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) is organising a Transport Safety lunch with a debate on Monday 26 May at the Hotel Crowne Plaza in Brussels at 12h30, dedicated to "Vulnerable Riders".

After a buffet lunch, presentations from members of the ETSC panel, ACEM, the FIM (by Director of Public Affairs John Chatterton-Ross) and members of the European Commission will be followed by a debate.

Among the subjects to be discussed and debated are the current situation of powered two-wheelers (PTW) in the EU, the means of increasing safety for PTW on Europe's roads, the role of PTW manufacturers in improving safety, the role of PTW users and the actions the EU has undertaken or is planning to undertake to reduce the risk of this category of road users.
