Owners of Triumph's 2008-model EFI Bonnevilles will now be able to breathe some extra life into their engines thanks to the new High-Flow Intake Bellmouth developed by renowned Triumph specialist Norman Hyde.

Extensively tested and proven to ensure there is no need for any re-mapping of the engine management system, the beautifully machined, solid aluminium bellmouth allows a better air-flow, thus increasing power and torque throughout the rev range.

Used in conjunction with the Hyde Bonneville Classic silencers, peak power is raised by up to 6bhp by replacing the restrictive standard plastic air box inlet ducting. Mid-range shows even bigger gains of up to 7bhp at 6000 rpm, an increase of 13% over the standard set up. Torque is increased too, with a noticeable boost from as low as 2,500 rpm and showing 7 ft lbs at 4,000 revs, up a massive 17%.

On the road this lack of restriction in the inlet translates into brisker acceleration when the throttle is opened.

The new High-Flow Intake Bellmouth is simple to fit, using the existing fittings and mounting points. Owners can retain the original factory air filter or replace it with a DNA item to liberate further power.

Fitting the Bellmouth on its own results in useful gains, particularly in the mid-range, but, says Norman, the maximum benefits are obtained when used with his Classic silencers.
