BEN ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH WELLBEING EXPERTS

December 2nd, 2021.

Past and present automotive industry workers will be given expert help to tackle everyday issues such as poor sleep, low mood and job worries through a digital platform specially developed to support automotive businesses across the UK.

Ben, the automotive charity, has teamed up with wellbeing data specialists, Wellonomics to provide a customised platform, scheduled for launch in early 2022, that will give businesses the tools to review their employees’ health and wellbeing through monthly online assessments.

The anonymised results will enable automotive businesses to identify areas where their team may be struggling so that they can better support their people – to help address employee absence and high attrition rates and at the same time helping improve the overall economic and emotional wellbeing of their company.

Through regular use of the platform, automotive businesses will gain ‘in the moment’ insight into the emotional temperature of their team and valuable performance data thanks to assessments across five key management areas.

The digital solution enables employees to confidentially assess their own health and wellbeing on a monthly basis– with instant access to tailored health and wellbeing content, provided by experts, to not only help to tackle any issues that they may be struggling with but also to assist general wellbeing.

Rachel Clift, Health & Wellbeing Director at Ben, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Wellonomics to produce this exciting new platform for our automotive industry. This specially-designed product is right at the cutting edge of care and will help us to reach even more people in our automotive community who need our support.

“Not only will we be able to provide tailored resources directly to those who are struggling, we can also support businesses in their quest to improve individual and management wellbeing in their workplaces. We can’t wait to announce the launch of our new product in early 2022 and encourage all automotive businesses to join us in our quest to make our automotive family happier and healthier.”

Peter Yates-Round, Co-founder of Wellonomics, said: “The motor trade was my first love. Having worked in the industry for a good many years and witnessing first-hand people struggling with mental health and wellbeing issues, we are delighted to know that our project with Ben will not only be helping those in our automotive family who need it most, but will also be providing a safe and confidential mechanism to help all improve general wellbeing. It is fantastic to be able to give back to a community who have given me so much. The team at Wellonomics can’t wait to welcome automotive businesses on board next year.”

Ben and Wellonomics will be working with selected partners ahead of an official launch in early 2022. Any automotive employers that would like to take part can contact Matt Wigginton, Director of Partnerships, Engagement & Income at Ben: matt.wigginton@ben.org.uk
