ALIEXPRESS TO SELL YADEA ELECTRIC SCOOTERS DIRECT

September 23rd, 2026.

AliExpress, the global online retail marketplace owned by the Chinese conglomerate Alibaba Group has announced that it is introducing a new Yadea electric two-wheeler range direct to the customer through its local delivery service.

AliExpress says demand for moped-related products on its platform has reached the hundreds of thousands, helping to drive its decision to add complete Yadea vehicles to its marketplace. The initial line-up will cover entry-level urban transport and a more powerful electric motorcycle aimed at riders seeking performance comparable with a conventional 125cc bike.

Its new three-model line-up gives AliExpress a clear spread of price points and use cases. The OWIN (£2,195.86) and GFX (£2,441.73) are aimed primarily at short-distance urban mobility, while the more expensive Keeness targets riders seeking greater performance. At £6,548.28, the Keeness costs almost three times as much as the OWIN, highlighting the difference between a practical city scooter and a 125cc-equivalent electric motorcycle.

Eligible purchases will be supported by AliExpress’s Brand+ Best Price Guarantee. Under the programme’s terms, AliExpress says it will refund the difference if an eligible item is found at a lower price at major retailers, including Amazon, eBay, Shein or Temu, within seven days of purchase. Customers will need to check the programme conditions and ensure that both the product and competing offer qualify.

If the service can combine competitive pricing and fast delivery with dependable after-sales support, it could help bring electric mopeds and motorcycles to a wider UK audience. But where does that leave the established motorcycle dealer network? If the direct to customer model is seen to work, will other manufacturers follow, leaving established motorcycle dealers to become used machine outlets and service centres?
