MCF TEAM AID

May 4th, 2020.

The MCFederation (MCF), the motorsports event specialist and licencing body is running an online auction with all proceeds going to two charities that provide an essential service to motorcycle racing; The NHS Charities Together and the Air Ambulances UK.

Acknowledging the tough time the UK is facing, the MCF, its members and supporters have already worked together to raise money via a set of seven challenges over seven days and its auction is live until 8pm on Saturday the 9th of May.

Racing stars and industry personalities have donated prizes to the fund raiser, with auction lots encompassing the worlds of off-road, on-road and road racing, as well as watersports and a host of leisure activities.

Auction items include a top-spec youth MX e-bike from Sur-Ron. For youngsters aged 10 and over, it’s perfect for those who have their own green space and for when leisure riding is back on the agenda. The Sur-Ron has motocross suspension, 17-inch wheels and a 48V removable lithium battery pack. It’s available in three colours, black, red and blue, has a top speed of 50kph and is supplied with an 18-month warranty.

For those who want to take motocross to another level, Dan Whitby of the hugely popular Bolddog FMX team will provide a day’s Freestyle tuition, whilst the likes of David Knight, Tommy Searle, Jake Nicholls, Dave Thorpe, Jack Price and Graeme Irwin will provide ride/experience days.

Over on the racing tarmac front, the adrenaline-buzz will be delivered courtesy of the TYCO BMW official British Superbike race team and the FS-3 Official Kawasaki British Superbike team, who will both welcome two guests to join them for a day with VIP hospitality, pit lane and pit garage access and a pillion ride. For fans of MotoGP, two grandstand tickets to the first-ever MotoGP of Indonesia at Lombok are up for grabs thanks to Mrk1 and MGPA.

Away from the race scene, a 12-person day trip on a yacht on the Solent and Isle of Wight, a bike ride with Chris Gascoyne (aka Coronation Street’s Peter Barlow), and a two-night stay in a beachfront apartment near to Brighton are among many ‘money-can’t-usually-buy’ prizes.

The MCF Team Aid online auction is live at www.jumblebee.co.uk/mcfteamaid until 8pm, this Saturday the 9th of May.
